2015 Summer Reading

I have basically accepted that not much writing will happen on my three drafts this summer. You see, I am a zookeeper of sorts. I am currently living in a jungle of jump ropes, Otter Pop wrappers, flipflops, and stray Legos. Instead of being frustrated by a lack of progress on my writing, I’d rather enjoy my two littles for the next three months while they’re home.

Ten and I decided to read Harry Potter together. It has been so much fun, and I think we’ve started somewhat of a tradition. Last year she and I read The Evolution of Calpurnia Tate over the summer. And while Five is too little to sit for long stories, she’s excited that we’re going to watch the first Harry Potter movie after we finish the book. Here is a picture of Ten trying to speed read ahead of me. (Oh, and Five capitalizing on a late bedtime and trying to find Waldo.)
